You feel you don’t have the time?
Well, let’s see if that really is the case.
Enter time tracking.
What you need to do is the following…
As soon as you get up in the morning, you set a timer for 60min.
Everytime that timer rings, you WRITE DOWN EXACTLY and TRUTHFULLY what you’ve done in that 60min. Remember, nobody but you will see this! So be as honest as possible. If you’re dicking around and watching YouTube mindlessly or scrolling Quora for cat pics…Then write that down.
As soon as you’ve written the past activity down, you set a new timer. Yep, you guessed it…for 60min. Rinse and repeat.
At the end of the day, sit down and look at your time log. Where did you spend your time? Now, label each and every activity as either “positive” (meaning it’s making you healthier, wiser and taking you closer to your goals) or…”negative” (meaning, obviously, it’s taking time away that you could spend on becoming the person you want to be, it’s making you unhealthier, dumber, angrier, sadder…)
Determine if how you spent your time, is in line with the person you want to be in the next weeks, months and years.
What you’ll most likely find if really commit to this is, that you’re more AWARE of how you spend your time.
The cool thing about awareness is, that the more you cultivate it, the more you’ll want the best for yourself, because you literally can’t live with a guilty conscience.
You said you wanted to hit the gym, or finally start that home-based bodyweight routine for 45min…but here you are watching another pointless YouTube Short?
As soon as you realize that, you’ll almost automatically start getting your workout clothes on…
