The second statement kind of gives an uncertain vibe, lack of confidence, insecure and maybe awareness that I may not know the answer to this question. I merely think I know.
This is a gateway which will allow us to dig deeper because we have convinced ourselves that there might be more.
Now what we do to gather information is what we have to do. Read, learn, talk to people, look for stuffs on social media, ask questions to oneself and others, stay curious, stay enthusiastic and so on…
