To be strategic.
Being strategic means to set your sights above the current problems and see the path to your long-term goals. Many get so caught up trying to win now that they detour from the right path. Sometimes, it’s better to avoid or even lose the battle to win the war.
Whenever you make a decision, ask: “Will this choice advance me towards my long-term goals?”
Only foolish generals focus on winning all battles and forget that they’re fighting a war.
